Leadership Conversations for Actions
History is evidence of the fact that to generate results, you need to take actions. There is a structure to all conversations for action. It is about understanding the elements of the structure and then building in regular practices to ensure that this effective structure becomes a part of your and your team conversations. Conversations for action involve the use of all the 6 speech or listening acts. Gaining mastery in these speech acts will give you results that you have never seen before. It is not uncommon in organisations to see teams and groups of people not working successfully with each other. It seems like similar problems continue to re-appear and there is no movement forward. There is a constant blame game that goes on, mainly because there is no clarity on who is accountable to address what.
The employees within the organisation quickly move to pointing fingers rather than creating value for their organisation and for their customers. Recurrently, there are collapses in communication between people in the work place as well as in life. These collapses are common and hamper the work whether you are an organisation trying to ensure that teams and departments work effectively together, or an individual who frequently feels that his requirements are not understood.
Leadership is about sensing this mood and having powerful conversations of actions. In this workshop, we look at how we create our work, where these collapses in communication take place, and how we make action happen.
